Welcome

Hello and welcome to my newsletter! If you are receiving this, that means you were most likely subscribed to my blog in one of its many iterations, Scent Hive, Green Beauty Trish or most recently The Floraesthetic. (Yes, there’s been a lot of them!) My blog has been sorely neglected over the years, and that is mainly due to my YouTube channel becoming more of a priority. But it is also because Wordpress, my blogging platform, changed its writing editor and it is unbearably clunky. Not to mention the fact that blogging has drastically changed since I created Scent Hive back in 2009. When I started my blog, it was a creative outlet to write about the beauty of natural perfume and my connection to fragrance and I didn’t worry about algorithms, SEO scores or what words I should place within my posts to generate more web traffic.

So this brings me to why I am starting a newsletter. I really love this format- I have been inspired by them, learned from them, and simply enjoy them. In particular, I want to shout out my dear friend Maggie from

. I subscribe to her newsletter and it’s the primary inspiration for Trish Notes, a place with more freedom to fall back in love with writing. I started my YouTube channel because I enjoy chatting with you all about beauty and skincare, but I feel like a newsletter is better suited for more personal content, whether it’s diving into beauty more deeply, sharing poems, recipes, or random ruminations.

I don’t know yet how often I will deliver Trish Notes to your inbox, but rest assured you will not be inundated on the regular! My minimum goal is to make it quarterly, but if I really get into a groove, maybe it will be every other month, or possibly monthly. But I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Let’s just say quarterly for now.
